As service providers, hotels had to comply
with the Disability Discrimination Act after the 1st October '04
It is now illegal to treat a disabled person less favourably than a
non-disabled person.
The law requires hotels to have installed a fire alarm system,
however those people with impaired hearing may not 'hear' the fire
alarm sounder if activated when they are asleep.
LynxPro offer a solution to this problem with the LynxPro
Nite-Alarm system.
The Nite-Alarm is a bedside radio
receiver, which triggered by the fire alarm causes a light to flash
and a pad placed under the pillow to vibrate. Thus waking the hotel
guest and alerting them to the emergency.
